Description

At high flows Panther Creek spills over its bank above the main falls, creating the proliferation of cataracts seen on the right in this image shot in late spring. It also generates a huge volume of mist making photography difficult. Thankfully I found this vantage point on the side of the upper main viewpoint out of the path of the misty billows. Panther Creek Falls is beautiful throughout the year, but in May when flows are strong and the growth is fresh it becomes an emerald waterfall wonderland like none other.
