Description

Mt Mouaputa on the island of Moorea, French Polynesia resembles a woman’s face looking skyward. The hole in her nostril / septum is visible from this angle, and her hair flows down toward you. This shot is from Belvedere Overlook and is the closest a person can easily get to the summit, which is one of the tallest on the island. The mountain is also viewable from the other side as well and is clearly seen on the ferry crossing from nearby Tahiti when it is not covered by clouds.
