Fog settles in the valleys like a misty blanket as the last ray of pink sunset light kiss the summit of Mt Hood on a beautifully clear November evening. This view is from the top of Larch Mountain, which is one of the best viewpoints I have ever been to. I visited after work one day, raced the quickly setting sun to the summit viewpoint, and got my gear set up just in the nick of time. In less than a minute after capturing this gorgeous image the light was gone, and within days the county closed the road up to the parking area for the winter.
