Description

The towering peaks of Bora Bora rise gently from the horizon, lost in the softness of a gentle Polynesian evening. This view is from the west boat dock on Motu Tautau, one of many small islets that encircle the lagoon edge around the less-visited French Polynesian island of Taha’a. If you look closely you can see the waves crashing against the reef at the very edge of the lagoon, which is why the lagoon is always so calm. I love how the nearby point of land with its little group of trees mirrors the blocky shape of Mt Pahia on the island in the distance.
