Coastal evening fog darkens the forest above Hobbit Beach near Florence on the Central Oregon Coast. Late afternoon was becoming evening as I headed back to the car after hiking to Heceta Head Lighthouse and there was little light left except for the diffuse gray glow coming through the mist so I went with it and removed the color entirely. I love the layers of obscure trees in the background. If I were ever to play in a black metal band, this shot would be our album cover.
