Print Materials
All photographs are available on the following print media:
Standard Photo Paper Prints: archival ink printed on your choice of four high-quality paper types:
- metallic finish – adds a pearlescent finish and texture, great depth.
- matte – The non-glare surface brings out color. This classic look is great for landscape photography and is the way to go in if the photo will be displayed in a setting with a lot of light.
- gloss – The shiny surface reflects light and brings out color and depth in landscape photography.
- luster – Between gloss and matte with a slight sheen and subtle texture. Good detail and color.
Fine Art Paper Prints: These papers are thicker than standard photo papers, offering a more durable and luxurious print:
- luster – Canton Platine Fiber Rag paper offers a satin finish.
- matte – Canton BFK Reeves White paper offers a matte, non-glare finish.
Framing is not currently available for fine art paper prints. Prints 8X12 and larger are shipped in a tube for maximum damage protection.
Metal Prints: Metal prints have become extremely popular in the last several years and are now the most popular print type. They are lightweight and durable with outstanding color, depth, and clarity. The print process involves infusing archival-quality dyes into chromalux metal via a combination of heat and pressure. Metal prints do not require framing and come with a wooden 3/4″ inset frame on the back which “floats” the print away from the wall. Hanging hardware is included – normally a “Wallbuddies” sawtooth-style self-leveling hanging system for most print sizes. The edges of metal prints are machine cut resulting in slight cropping – the actual print will be 1/4″ smaller in both dimensions (so a 24X36″ is finished to 23.75X35.75″). Metal prints are available in the following finishes:
- gloss – rich color and a sleek surface.
- semi-gloss – a more satin finish.
- matte – no surface glare, perfect for high light areas.
Many framing options are available for metal prints – see framing below. Metal prints that cannot fit into a 20X26″ box are shipped in a custom-built crate lined with foam.
Canvas Prints: Canvas Prints offer a more painterly quality and are perfect for softer landscapes. Canvas prints are sealed with a varnish to protect against fading and damage over time, giving an overall satin finish to the product. The canvas is precision-stretched on a 1.5″ wooden frame with a black fabric backing. Mirror wrap is standard on the edges (the image is mirrored on the sides of the frame) as is a single sawtooth hanger on the back. White or black edges are available, and hardware options are available for larger sizes. If you want one of these custom options instead please specify in the order notes. The finished product is actual size. Float framing is available – see framing below. Canvas prints that cannot fit into a 20X26″ box are shipped in a custom-built crate lined with foam.
Acrylic Prints: Acrylic prints are the highest quality prints available. The image sharpness, depth, and color are of the highest caliber. Acrylic prints have a glossy finish and possess a luminous quality especially when lit from above – this is due to the metallic photo paper used in the process. Crystal clear adhesives and two layers of UV-resistant gallery-quality acrylic create the print, which is machine cut around the edges for a clean, precise display. Like metal prints, the finished product is 1/4″ smaller in both directions due to the edge finishing process. Also like metal prints, acrylic prints come with a 3/4″ wooden inset frame on the back which makes the print “float” off the wall. A wire hanging system comes standard. While acrylic prints do not require framing, there are several framing options available as well as hanging hardware options for larger sizes – see framing below. Acrylic prints that cannot fit into a 20X26″ box are shipped in a custom-built crate lined with foam.
Tru-Life Acrylic Prints: These ultra-quality prints are identical to regular acrylic prints with one big exception – the acrylic used has a satin finish which significantly reduces glare, creating a product which is as clear, detailed, and vibrant as possible. Tru-Life Acrylic is the ultimate in photographic display technology. All hanging and shipping details are the same as for regular acrylic.

Frame, Liner, and Hanging Hardware Options
Several options are available depending on the print media and frame type. If you are interested in adding custom framing to your metal, canvas, or acrylic print, please send an inquiry as there are many custom options. Expect the order process to take a few extra days as we sort out the details and put your custom order together.
Premier Series Frames:
- Premier – A 2″ custom moulding frame made of hardwood which is most similar to a standard photo frame. Available for metal and acrylic prints. Stain color choices: dark ash, white, and espresso.
- Premier Slim – Same as Premier but with a slim 1″ frame for a sleek, sophisticated look. These are the better choice for smaller prints. Available for metal and acrylic prints. Stain color choices: dark ash, white, and espresso.
- Premier Float – These frames feature a 1″ frame edge which is sealed. A 1/4″ gap between the frame and the print makes the print appear to levitate above the frame. The frame has a satin gloss. Overall this look is very modern and stylish. Available for canvas, metal, and acrylic prints in your choice of stain colors: dark ash, white, and espresso.
Elite Series Frames:
- Elite Float – Made of hand-wrapped cherry veneer which is precision cut and sanded to a flawless finish. Like the Premier Float, the print is set 1/4″ above the frame surface making the print appear to “float” out of the frame. Available for canvas, metal, and acrylic prints in your choice of dark ash or espresso finishes.
- Elite Scoop – Constructed out of hand-wrapped cherry veneer, these frames feature a generous 4″ frame width with a precision-crafted scooping profile. The image sits flush with the frame edge. Available for metal and acrylic prints in dark ash or espresso finishes.
Linen Liners: The next elevation of traditional mat board, linen liners add a luxurious touch and a more formal, traditional feel. Available with Premier, Premier Slim, and Elite Scoop frames in your choice of black or white. Available in 2″ or 4″ widths.
Hanging Hardware Options: Generally, hardware is standard. However there are options for larger sizes. If you are ordering a large size metal, canvas, or acrylic print (with or without framing) and you want to know more about possible hanging options just add a note to your order and I will let you know what, if any, hanging hardware options exist. Customizing your hanging hardware does not change the cost of your order.
Limited Edition Prints
Select images are offered as Limited Edition prints. Only 25 prints of these select images will be created regardless of print media or size, after which the image will be retired. All limited edition prints will be numbered and signed on the back to guaranty their authenticity. Please allow one extra week for processing Limited Edition prints.
Order Information
Order Processing: Please allow 2-3 days for processing of non-framed / standard print orders. Order processing may occasionally take longer if I am in the field for an extended period – look for the yellow banner with the expected order processing date. You will receive a confirmation email once your order has been processed.
Custom Framing Orders: Please send an inquiry. I will send you greater product details and pricing. Once we’ve determined your custom order you will receive a payment request via email. Custom framing orders and processed upon receipt of payment. The customization process normally takes 3-5 days.
Processing and Shipping Time: Expect your prints in 2-3 weeks from the time you receive your order confirmation email. For Limited Edition products please allow 3-4 weeks.

Return Policy
All prints are custom made to your specifications. Returns are generally not accepted except in the following cases:
- The wrong image was printed or some other specification of your order was not followed.
- The print and/or frame is defective or damaged.
Please contact DEN Photo Travel within seven (7) days of receiving your print and I will work with you to make it right.
Image Licensing
All images except Limited Edition series are available for image licensing. Once your image license order has been placed and payment has been received you will be sent a standard Image License Agreement via email as a fillable PDF. Fill out and submit the agreement, then your full-size digital image will be sent to you electronically. The terms are simple and straightforward – you can use the image for pretty much anything you want so long as:
- No financial profit is directly made from your use of the image (for example, you may not create coffee mugs which use the purchased image and sell them for a profit), and
- You do not create prints of the image which are available directly from the DEN Photo Travel Website.
